అనూహ్య నిర్ణయం: రామ్‌నాథ్‌ కోవింద్‌కు మద్దతు ప్రకటించిన శివసేన

ఎన్డీయే రాష్ట్రపతి అభ్యర్థి రామ్‌నాథ్‌ కోవింద్‌కు శివసేన ఎట్టకేలకు మద్దతు ప్రకటించింది. ఈ విషయాన్ని శివసేన అధ్యక్షుడు ఉద్ధవ్‌ ఠాక్రే మంగళవారం స్వయంగా ప్రకటించారు.

పార్టీలో చర్చించిన తర్వాతే మద్దతు తెలుపుతున్నట్లు ఉద్ధవ్‌ వెల్లడించారు. రాష్ట్రపతి అభ్యర్థుల విషయమై శివసేన గతంలో ఇద్దరి పేర్లను ప్రతిపాదించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే.

పేరుకు మిత్రపక్షాలైనా మహారాష్ట్రలో బీజేపీ-శివసేన బంధం ఉప్పు-నిప్పులా కొనసాగుతోంది. ఇటీవల రుణమాఫీ విషయమై బాహాటంగానే బీజేపీ సర్కారుపై సేన నిప్పులు కురిపిస్తోంది.

ఈ నేపథ్యంలో రాష్ట్రపతి అభ్యర్థి మద్దతు విషయంలో శివసేన నిర్ణయంపై సర్వత్రా ఉత్కంఠ నెలకొంది. శివసేన పార్టీ 51వ ఆవిర్భావ దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా సబర్బన్‌ మతుంగాలో నిన్న జరిగిన కార్యక్రమంలో కూడా ఉద్దవ్‌ ఠాక్రే వ్యతిరేక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు.

తమకు దళిత ఓట్లే లక్ష్యమని, అయినా సరే తాము రామ్‌నాథ్‌కు మద్దతివ్వబోమని ఆయన వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. అయితే ఒక్కరోజు వ్యవధిలోనే తన రూట్ మార్చుకున్నారు. శివసేన రామ్‌నాథ్‌ కోవింద్‌కు మద్దతు ఇస్తున్నట్లుగా ఆయన ప్రకటించారు.
