బీజింగ్: అంతరిక్షంలో గతి తప్పి భూమి వైపు దూసుకొస్తోన్న చైనా స్పేస్‌ల్యాబ్ తియాంగోంగ్-1 ఈ వారంలో భూవాతావరణంలోకి ప్రవేశించనున్నట్లు శాస్త్రవేత్తలు హెచ్చరించారు. అయితే భూ వాతావరణంలోకి ప్రవేశించగానే ఈ స్పేస్‌ల్యాబ్ చాలా వరకు మండిపోతుందని, దాని శకలాలు మాత్రం భూమిపై పడే అవకాశాలున్నాయని పేర్కొన్నారు.

ఈ నెల 30 నుంచి ఏప్రిల్ 2 మధ్య ఎప్పుడైనా తియాంగోంగ్-1 భూమిపై కూలిపోవచ్చని శాస్త్రవేత్తలు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు. చైనా 2011లో తన తొలి అంతరిక్ష పరిశోధన కేంద్రమైన తియాంగోంగ్-1ను కక్ష్యలోకి ప్రవేశపెట్టింది.

However, the space station will re-enter somewhere between the latitudes of 43 degrees north and 43 degrees south, based on its current orbital inclination. “Areas above or below these latitudes can be excluded. At no time will a precise time/location prediction from ESA be possible," agency officials said in a statement.
