రహదారిపై సినీఫక్కీలో పోలీసుల ఛేజ్.. చివరికి ఘోర ప్రమాదం!

వాషిగ్టన్: అమెరికాలోని అరిజోనా రాష్ట్రంలో పోలీసులు ఓ నిందితుడి కారును సినీఫక్కీలో ఛేజ్ చేశారు. రహదారిపై కొన్ని కిలోమీటర్ల దూరం కొనసాగిన ఈ ఛేజింగ్‌లో చివరికి నిందితుడి కారు అనూహ్యంగా ప్రమాదానికి గురైంది.

ఈ ఘటనకు సంబంధించిన వీడియోను తాజాగా అక్కడి పోలీసులు విడుదల చేశారు. ఇందులో ఎరుపు రంగు ఎస్‌యూవీలో నిందితుడు పారిపోతుండగా.. వెనక పోలీస్ వాహనం వెంబడిస్తూ కనిపిస్తుంది.

అయితే నిందితుడు పోలీసులకు దొరకకుండా కొన్ని కిలోమీటర్లు తప్పించుకోగలిగాడు. కానీ ఓ చౌరస్తా వద్ద రెడ్ సిగ్నల్ పడడం అతడి కొంపముంచింది. కొన్ని క్షణాలపాటు ఆ చౌరస్తాలో తన కారును ఆపిన నిందితుడు పోలీసుల వాహనం సమీపించడంతో గాభరాపడి మళ్లీ కారును ముందుకురికిస్తాడు.

ఆ తరువాత కాసేపటికే మరో కారుని ఢీకొడతాడు నిందితుడు. తెలుపు రంగు కారును తప్పించినప్పటికీ నలుపురంగు ఎస్‌యూవీని ఢీకొట్టేస్తాడు. దీంతో నిందితుడి కారుతోపాటు అతడు ఢీకొట్టిన ఎస్‌యూవీ ముందు భాగం కూడా ధ్వసం అవుతుంది.

ఈ ప్రమాదంలో ఎరుపు రంగు కారులోని నిందితుడికి స్వల్పగాయాలు కాగా, అతడు ఢీకొట్టిన ఎస్‌యూవీలోని మహిళ(47)కు తీవ్రగాయాలయ్యాయి. పోలీసులు ఆమెను చికిత్స నిమిత్తం ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించారు. సదరు నిందితుడిపై పలు కేసులు ఉన్నట్లు అక్కడి పోలీసులు తెలిపారు.

A one hour long high speed police chase in the Phoenix area ended when the suspect's vehicle collided head on with another car. The 60-mile pursuit began on State Route 85 when a state trooper attempted to stop a red SUV being driven by Mitchell Timothy Taebel, 31, for a moving-traffic violation, at around 10am. During the pursuit, state troopers attempted to disable the vehicle with spike strips but it veered around them and kept going, eventually reaching I-10 and heading east into Phoenix. An Arizona Department for Public Safety helicopter then took over tracking Taebel's SUV, which reached speeds of 60 to 65 mph. As the SUV approached lights, two DPS vehicles tried to box in the vehicle but the suspect veered to the right and rammed a patrol car, before continuing at a high speed during Wednesday's chase. The car careered down the central strip of the Apache Boulevard, in the city of Tempe, going through traffic lights at an intersection and then sideswiping a white SUV before hitting a black SUV head on. The 47-year-old female driver of the black SUV was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
