సిడ్నీ ఓపెరా హౌస్కు బాంబు బెదిరింపు, మూసివేత
న్యూఢిల్లీ: ఆస్ట్రేలియాలో ప్రముఖ పర్యాటక కేంద్రమైన సిడ్నీ ఓపెరా హౌస్ను గురువారం తాత్కాలికంగా మూసివేశారు. ఓపెరా హౌస్ వద్ద ఉన్న మాన్లీ ఫెర్రీకి బాంబు బెదిరింపు కాల్ రావడంతో పోలీసులు అప్రమత్తమయ్యారు.
దీంతో భద్రతా కారణాల దృష్ట్యా పర్యాటకులను అక్కడ నుంచి పంపించివేశారు. అనంతరం ఓపెరా హౌస్ను తాత్కాలికంగా మూసివేశారు. వివరాల్లోకి వెళితే స్థానిక కాలమానం ప్రకారం మధ్యాహ్నాం 1.20 గంటల ప్రాంతంలో సిడ్నీ ఓపెరా హౌస్ వద్ద అనుమానాస్పద వస్తువు ఉందంటూ పోలీసులు ఫోన్కాల్ వచ్చింది.
వెంటనే రంగంలోకి దిగిన న్యూ సౌత్ వేల్స్ పోలీసులు అక్కడికి చేరుకుని తనిఖీలు చేపట్టారు. సిడ్నీ ఓపెరా హౌస్తో సమీపంలోని గార్డెన్స్, మాల్స్ నుంచి పర్యాటకులకు పంపించి వేశారు. అయితే చివరకు అక్కడ ఎలాంటి బాంబులు దొరకలేదు.
దీంతో తమకు వచ్చిన ఫోన్కాల్ బెదిరింపు ఫోన్ కాల్ అయి ఉంటుందని పోలీసులు భావిస్తున్నారు. అయినప్పటికీ భద్రతా దళాలు మాత్రం ఓపెరా హౌస్తో పాటు సమీపంలోని ప్రాంతాల్లోనూ ముమ్మర తనిఖీలు చేపట్టారు.
