ముంబై : మహారాష్ట్రలో ఎయిడ్స్ వ్యాధిగ్రస్తులు ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా దేశ ఆర్థిక రాజధాని ముంబైలో హెచ్‌ఐవీ చాపకింద నీరులా వ్యాపిస్తోంది. సిటీ కల్చర్‌కు తోడు వైరస్ విజృంభిస్తోంది. దీంతో రాష్ట్రంలో హెచ్ఐవీ మహమ్మరి బారిన పడి చనిపోతున్న వారి సంఖ్య పెరిగిపోతోంది. దీనిని ఆ రాష్ట్ర వైద్యారోగ్యశాఖ కూడా ధ్రువీకరించింది.

మహారాష్ట్రలో హెచ్ఐవీ వైరస్ వ్యాప్తి ఆందోళన కలిగిస్తోంది. ఈ క్రమంలో అసెంబ్లీలో శివసేన ఎమ్మెల్యే విలాస్ ప్రశ్నించారు. రాష్ట్రంలో ఎయిడ్స్ వ్యాప్తి గురించి వివరంగా ప్రశ్న అడుగడంతో వైద్యారోగ్యశాఖ మంత్రి ఏక్‌నాథ్ షిండే స్పందించారు. దాదాపు ఏడాదిలో 2400 మంది హెచ్ఐవీ సోకి చనిపోయారని వివరించారు. గతేడాది ఏప్రిల్ 1 నుంచి ఈ ఏడాది ఫిబ్రవరి వరకు నమోదైన గణాంకాల ఆధారంగా మంత్రి సమాధానం ఇచ్చారు. అయితే వైరస్ నిరోధానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం సరైన చర్యలు చేపడుతుందని వివరించారు. రాష్ట్రంలో అనుమానాస్పదంగా కనిపించిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ వైద్య పరీక్షలు చేయిస్తున్నామని తేల్చిచెప్పారు. అలాగే ఎయిడ్స్ వ్యాధిగ్రస్తులకు అందించాల్సిన నిధులు ఇప్పటికీ కొనసాగుతున్నాయని తేల్చిచెప్పారు. అలాగే నేషనల్ ఎయిడ్స్ సొసైటీ ఆఫ్ ఇండియాకు కూడా తాము సంపూర్ణ సహకారం అందిస్తున్నామని .. సమిష్టిగా వైరస్ నిరోధం కోసం కృషి చేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు. అయితే 11 నెలల్లో ఎయిడ్స్ వల్ల 2400 మంది చనిపోయారనే అంశం ప్రతి ఒక్కరిని కలవరానికి గురిచేస్తోంది.

"There has been no delay in implementation of any measure laid down by the National Aids Society of India," said Shinde.
