‘‘అంగుళం భూమి కూడా ఇచ్చేది లేదు..’’, కేంద్ర మంత్రి గడ్కరీ సంచలన వ్యాఖ్యలు!

ముంబై : భారత నౌకాదళాన్ని ఉద్దేశించి కేంద్ర ఉపరితల రవాణా శాఖ మంత్రి నితిన్‌ గడ్కరీ గురువారం సంచలన వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. ''అంగుళం భూమి కూడా ఇచ్చేది లేదు..'' అంటూ నేవీ విభాగాన్ని ఉద్దేశించి ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.

ఓ శంకుస్థాపన కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న ఆయన ''మేం మిమల్ని గౌరవిస్తాం. ఉగ్రవాదులు చొరబడే సరిహద్దుల్లో నేవీ అవసరం ఉంది. నావికాదళ అధికారులు వచ్చి దక్షిణ ముంబైలో స్థలం కావాలని నన్ను అడిగారు. నేవీకి చెందిన ప్రతిఒక్కరూ అక్కడే ఎందుకు ఉండాలనుకుంటున్నారు?'' అని ప్రశ్నించారు.

అంతేకాదు, ''ఇకపై ఎవరికీ అంగుళం స్థలం కూడా ఇచ్చేది లేదు. ఈ విషయంలో మీరెవరూ నా దగ్గరకు రావొద్దు. పాక్‌ సరిహద్దుకు వెళ్లి పెట్రోలింగ్‌ చేస్కోండి..'' అని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.

రోడ్డు మార్గం ప్రయాణాలకు వ్యయాలు భారీగా పెరిగిపోతున్న వేళ సీ ప్లేన్ సర్వీసులను ప్రారంభించేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధమవుతోంది. రానున్న రెండేళ్లలో 10,000 సీ ప్లేన్లను ప్రవేశపెట్టేందుకు సిద్ధమవుతోంది.

అయితే భద్రతా కారణాల దృష్ట్యా అందుకు నేవీ విముఖత వ్యక్తం చేసింది. ఈ మేరకు ఆపరేటర్లు బాంబే హైకోర్టులో అప్పీల్‌ చేసుకోగా.. కోర్టు కూడా అందుకు తిరస్కరించింది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో గడ్కరీ పై వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు.

''ప్రభుత్వం అంటే నేవీ, డిఫెన్స్‌ మంత్రిత్వ శాఖలు కాదు. మేం. అలాంటిది మేం చేపట్టే అభివృద్ధి పనులకు అడ్డుతగలటం మంచిది కాదు..'' అంటూ నితిన్ గడ్కరీ కఠినంగా వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

Citing the Navy's decision, the Bombay high court also turned down the operator's appeal. The Navy, Mr Gadkari said in his address, "came to me seeking a plot of land... I will not give them even an inch of land, please don't come again... Everyone wants to build quarters and flats on south Mumbai's prime land. We do respect you (Navy), but you should go to the Pakistan border and do patrolling."
