On the 13th May, a handsome baby boy was put into Mamata’s arms. And the very next day, he was taken away to the NICU. The baby couldn’t breathe and had to be put on a ventilator which would ease his breathing and keep his little heart breathing.Mamata was instructed to go into the NICU every two hours to feed her baby boy. Her child would hardly take in any milk and she would often have to leave as he would burst out crying and the nurse would come rushing in. “It was painful for me to not be able to sooth my child and make him stop crying,” says Mamata.
